Jacqueline DeGavia's tranquil watercolors & oil landscapes reflect her childhood in the Canadian North Woods. A working artist for most of her adult life, she finds special joy in watercolor & oil landscapes, especially of the Pacific Northwest. She holds a Master's degree in Adult Education and taught for many years with special needs students. To encourage others to "Echo Their Magic," she wrote a booklet called "Creating Simply: Create a Painting in Three Easy Steps." It is available for purchase along with her paintings and note cards.

What People Say About Jacqueline...

I am fortunate to work with some terrific folks. Some take the time to say a few words about me I wanted to share:

I became associated with Jacqueline, professionally when we were both Program Directors at NW Indian College and as a friend...Our friendship spanning 25+ years. Naturally caring and compassionate, Jacqueline served as a Special Ed teacher and Director of the ABE Program at NW Indian College. She is a highly successful manager, creative problem solver, detail oriented and an innovative teacher.

As an artist and teacher she is inspirational, talented and creative. Always supportive and encouraging, she is a compassionate, highly focused problem solver who takes action without hesitation. I trust Jacqueline implicitely and recommend her without hestiation.

I wanted to let you know that your painting was selected by the Grand Prize Winner of the fishing derby. He caught a 7lb 13oz fish and his wife fell in love with the picture. Below is what she wrote me today in e-mail. Thank you so much for your donation. It truly is a beautiful picture.

"I had my husband, David who won first place in the derby, pick me out the watercolor of the Lower Skagit - it is so beautiful and hanging in my living room here in Seattle."
